Yuri's Pre-Game Story (TW)
Yuri was from a very wealthy family, who was well known for their fame and good reputation.
Yuri was immediately known for how stunning she was as a child.
She was isolated from society and forced to study countless subjects, languages, and the arts for the sake of fame and fortune by her parents.
She was forced to become 'perfect', because every time she made a mistake, no matter how big or small, her father would always end up harming her.
Her mother was neglectful, only caring for parties and fancy gatherings.
Her parents paid servants and handmaidens not to ever tell a soul about the abuse.
The abuse got so bad that she never had enough time to recover from her wounds, leading her to only ever wearing long sleeves and stockings.
Yuri was used as a money-making tool for her parents.
She was often starved in order to maintain the ideal body type of someone famous in Japan. She naturally grew weak and feeble in addition to her constant wounds.
She needed to constantly have a smile on her face, showing no signs of unhappiness- leading her to cut off her emotions early on in her life. She ended up only having a dead, doll-like smile on her face, 24/7.
Boys her age often fell for her looks and status, leading her to receiving many confessions during her high school years.
Many girls would mock, bully, and tease her out of jealousy or out of spite for how 'lucky' a life she had.
Yuri became famous around the world for her performances and modeling (she only modeled clothes that didn't reveal her wounds.)
She performed dozens of instruments perfectly, dance styles, singing, as well as showing off her language skills, quick thinking, intelligence, and speaking skills (though she was only ever able to say things her parents ordered her to say.)
Yuri became what was essentially a living porcelain doll.
She never talked to anyone unless she was given permission from her parents.
She ended up becoming quite suicidal, but was mostly unaware of it- she was oftentimes drawn towards high places and railroad tracks without quite understanding why.
Yuri attended Imprerial Capital's Imperial High School.
Yuri's past and lack of physical affection, as well as the abuse, built up the habit of her freezing up every time she was touched.
Yuri was given the nicknames "Golden Child (of Japan)", "Perfect Princess", and even "Golden Girl".
When Yuri's fame dropped, her parents staged kidnappings so that she appeared on the news again.
Yuri's parents began an auction when she was 12 to sell her off to the highest bidder- whoever paid the most would receive her as his wife. As such, many older men were interested in her, and she had many suitors.
In her only times of quiet, she read fairytales and read in despair what a real princess' life would be like, while wondering why hers was as it was.

Yuri in high school began to see posters advertizing Danganronpa Season 53, and she also saw many people getting hyped about the game itself.
She joined because she thought the game would give her a chance to experience proper happiness.
"I desire to join Danganronpa because I have seen how much joy that it brings the people around me. I could not help but wonder if joining the game would give me the opportunity to experience the same amount of happiness that it provides my classmates. As for my Ultimate, you could provide me with nearly anything, and I would fit the category. Dancer, Musician, almost any instrument, Singer... I'm very flexible within the arts. ...What do I desire? I suppose the opportunity to read and understand those around me would be wonderful. I do long to make more true connections." -Yuri during her interview
Yuri was accepted, partially for being famous, but also out of curiosity. The DGRP team was very curious as to how a girl with a 'perfect' life could be so unhappy as to wanting to join a Killing Game.
Yuri became the Ultimate Psychologist, partially because it was a skill she needed to learn to survive growing up- understanding what the people around her were thinking, and whether or not they were happy with her performances.
Yuri's Pre-Game memories mostly remained the same, changing mainly the abuse- she instead remembers mostly neglect, with far less physical abuse. Most of her scars were also removed so that she could be 'happy'.
Yuri's Personality
Yuri is a cheerful girl, who is known among her friends for being bright and bubbly.
She is kind and gentle to anyone she meets.
She always has a comforting smile about her.
She's always willing to help those around her.
Her greatest desire is to keep those around her happy at all costs.
She is dainty and ladylike, somehow being elegant at any point in time.
Yuri is naturally perceptive- being the Ultimate Psychologist allows her to easily read into other people's feelings via their habits and talking.
Yuri is very positive- she'll always try to cheer someone up.
She's intelligent in her own manner.
She's a selfless sort of girl.
She always has her friends' best interests in mind.
Yuri is a 'Deredere'.
Yuri will always be proud of her friends, encouraging them and supporting them in order for them to reach their best selves.
Yuri is a comfort character.
Her true emotions show via her hair and how much it curls.
If she does something wrong, she will do her best to make it right.
She always tries to be inclusive.
Yuri hides most of her negative emotions to her friends, doing her best to make sure they don't feel disheartened.
She only lets out her negative emotions when alone.
Yuri has a traits of toxic positivity that sometimes affects those around her.
Yuri is naive, only wanting to see the very best and people and oftentimes in denial and ignorant of their faults.
Yuri's naivety gets in the way of using her Psychology to her advantage during the first half of the Killing Game. Though she receives many hints about the blackened and mastermind, she denies them, not believing her friends could do any harm. She struggles to overcome this.
Yuri still has her pre-game habit of freezing up if someone touches her suddenly early on in game.
She is a major hypocrite, constantly giving advice and comfort to those around her, while never taking the advice herself.
She follows the rule "Any information she does know about other people, she doesn't tell to anyone else for privacy unless it is needed." This ends up backfiring multiple times.
She doesn't properly care about herself, throwing all her emotions and love for herself out the window for her friends' sakes, prioritizing them instead.
She is selfless to a fault.
Though she is intelligent, she's also rather oblivious about most social norms having been isolated for so long.
Yuri puts on a facade of happiness to try uplifting her friends.
When Yuri's negative emotions finally resurface, she ends up exploding like a volcano, unable to control herself.
She's oftentimes too forgiving, willing to welcome people with open arms, even after they've done something incredibly wrong.
She can oftentimes be manipulated when she's being naive, as she's willing to do anything for someone's happiness, especially if she doesn't read any ill intent from that person.
Yuri tries to be perfectly content and happy all the time around her friends, though sometimes her hair indicates otherwise.
Yuri can be a pushover.
Yuri is oftentimes afraid to reveal the truth out of fear for hurting someone's feelings.
She's so intelligent to where she can create and conduct incredibly advanced plans and schemes, especially with her psychology, but she'll oftentimes follow her feelings/heart over what's logical to do.
She devotes herself to becoming the epidemy of happiness for her friends.
Yuri is very, very physically weak- she can hardly lift a ladder on her own, and feels ashamed to bother others and ask for help.

Yuri's Canon Story

During the very beginning of the story, Yuri naturally becomes friends with most of her classmates, being kind, friendly, and open.
Angie Yonaga becomes Yuri's closest friend, spending time and hanging out with Yuri, giving her the nicknames "Riri" and "Blessed One."
The two of them first hang out by making flower garlands together and handing them out to their classmates.
When the first motive is revealed, Yuri chooses to trust in Rantaro and in his plans for success.
Yuri also encourages Ryoma to try taking the opporunity to live with them, finding the good in life and giving him kind words.
When Rantaro is killed, Yuri is in denial that anyone could've killed him, but there is still a little voice telling her that it was possible.
Yuri helps out with the investigation, working with Shuichi and mostly helping by interviewing her classmates and determining what of which they were saying was true or not.
During the trial, Yuri mostly only revealed information when specifically asked of her, or when it was really necessary. She also figured out that Kaede was the killer based on how Shuichi acted.
It is at this point when Kokichi Oma becomes Yuri's biggest annoyance/enemy. Despite her trying to be his friend, it's clear that he's purposefully trying to get on her nerves, calling her rude nicknames, his favorite being 'Princess', as he used it to mock her for her behavior. Yuri merely smiles her way through it.
During Kaede's execution, Yuri picked up on many hints that to her indicated that Kaede was not the true killer (such as the white piano keys instead of black, having been well-versed in music herself).
Desperate to believe in Kaede, Yuri refused to accept Kaede as the killer, and silently pondered about who could be the true killer instead.
When Chapter Two begins, Yuri and Angie's friendship continued to grow. It's clear that they are both best friends.
At this point, Himiko and Tenko also join Angie and Yuri, creating a cute little friend group.
Yuri promptly helped Himiko begin to make her own decisions, with Himiko looking up to Yuri as an older sister, meaning that Angie's influence did not affect Himiko that much.
Himiko was also determined to act more like Yuri, and tried to include Tenko more as well, seeing as it was the kind thing to do.
Yuri also helped Tenko to understand how to tone down her energy around Himiko so that Himiko was not as overwhelmed.
Tenko and Angie also had less of a rocky relationship with Yuri around, and all the girls seemed to get along quite nicely.
The girls all hung out at the poolside special "Celebrity" event, Yuri being welcomed warmly by Tenko, who admired Yuri greatly for her personality and ladylike manners.
Yuri also attempted learning how to cook later on in the evening with Kirumi, but failing miserably due to having no experience from her past, and even burning her hand.
The friend group of girls had another special event together, in which they all had one grand sleepover.
That night, Yuri's first sign of chronic nightmares appears, as she awoke in tears, quickly covering it up so that her friends would not worry.
The girls awoke to find the motive videos the Monokubs had handed out. Amongst them was Yuri's motive video.
"The Ultimate Psychologist, Yuri Fujikami, has barely known her classmates for four days. However, she treasures them far more than anyone else she's known in her entire life! What a wonderful girl, with such wonderful friendships and close connections. They're her first friends, and she would do anything to keep them happy! But poor, sweet Yuri... only one person is allowed to leave this killing game alive, and what if I told you that Yuri was that destined one? What if I told you that she's doomed to an eternity without her friends, being the only one allowed to graduate once everyone is gone and dead? Now listen here, Yuri. I know very well that you would rather find an alternative. Well, what if I told you there was an alternative? What if I provided you with a little... buffer? Perhaps you would feel more inclined to graduate if I told you, it only meant sacrificing one of you guys. If you 'graduate', then I'll make an exception... and I'll allow everyone else to leave." -Motive Video
Yuri took her own motive video upon leaving, promising her friends that she wouldn't kill any of them.
It was at this point Yuri became determined to become the pinnacle of happiness for her friends. It was also at this point she realized the loophole in her motive, seeing that she could kill herself and potentially save all her friends.
Later on, Kokichi also challenges Yuri to a game to determine who is the better 'lie detector', as they are both well-versed in determining what was false vs. true.
Kokichi and Yuri play a game of Uno, Yuri handing over the game to him after the game is dragged on for a long time.
Angie eventually steps in, and seeing how Kokichi was taunting Yuri for handing over the win, she came in to confront Kokichi, arranging a rematch and reshuffling the cards.
Though Yuri didn't believe in Atua, it did appear as though some miracle occurred, in which she was able to destroy Kokichi in just one turn, having only received skip and reverse cards.
During Gonta's Insect Meet and Greet, Yuri was helping Angie and Himiko prepare the magic show.
Later on, Angie and Yuri hosted Himiko's Magic Show, with Himiko being more confident in herself thanks to Yuri.
When Ryoma was found dead, Yuri felt an immense amount of guilt, feeling as though she didn't do enough to help him.
During the investigation and trial, Yuri noticed Kirumi's habits and realized she was likely the killer- just didn't speak up about it, not wanting to believe it.
Kirumi had been the only person Yuri (in her false memories) had any connections with, since Kirumi had worked with her mother and father in the past.
After Kirumi died, Yuri's remorse grew more and more, as she scolded and blamed herself that night for their deaths, and being unable to do anything about it. She promptly told herself that she deserved death for being unable to help them, and vowed that she would change that.
As Chapter Three begins, Yuri's desperately trying to help incorporate Maki into the group, despite her being an assassin- Kaito and Yuri both shared similar ideals on that matter.
Here, Shuichi and Yuri also begin to talk more often, with Yuri looking up to Shuichi a great deal for his work, and viewing him more as an older brother figure.
Korekiyo also suggested that one day, his sister and Yuri meet, since he thought that Yuri would be a wonderful friend to his sister. Yuri, being oblivious, obviously agreed.
It's at this point when Angie and Yuri's friendship hits a bump in the road. Angie began the Student Council, and while she tried to recruit Yuri into the Student Council with Himiko and Tenko by her side, Yuri still didn't believe in Atua (though it's important to note that though Himiko was on the Student Council, she was definitely less affected than she originally was).
Angie, trying to bring Yuri onto her side, gave Yuri one of her signature hugs- however this was unexpected. Yuri in a panic pushed Angie away, her habits and slight fear of physical touch still remaining, even if she tried to fight it. Angie was clearly surprised, and Yuri miserably ran off.
Himiko was clearly bummed by this, and was still reluctant to join the Student Council because of Yuri, but felt better after Yuri reassured her that she wouldn't hate her for being on the Student Council later on.
Yuri also didn't want to join the Student Council because of the divide that it was bringing upon all the students. She vainly tried to bring the two groups back together, trying to find even ground by delivering ideas and requests back and forth between the groups (which Kokichi called her naive for).
While Yuri still tried to bring peace into the group, Angie seemed very upset at Yuri for not siding with her, and Yuri still seemed wary of Angie at that point in time. Both girls were upset in some way, though they both hid it.
Upon Angie's death, Yuri was absolutely destroyed. Hiding her emotions, she suffered internally while trying to comfort Himiko, and even Tenko a little. Tenko asked Yuri why she wasn't also upset, and Yuri simply smiled.
When Korekiyo suggested a seance in order to get Angie to talk to them, Himiko seemed ready to take the role in the center, but Tenko hurridly volunteered to take her spot.
However, Yuri instead told Tenko to stay by Himiko's side, or at least outside the doorway to protect her. Yuri said that she would feel perfect happy to let Angie speak through her body, and give Himiko the chance to talk to Angie again as well. She also felt that it would be safer to have Tenko with Himiko as well- and with that, Yuri went into the center of the Caged Child Seance.
During the seance, Yuri's consciousness slipped into the "Middle Realm," where she woke up, seeing Angie standing in front of her.
The Middle Realm is a term I created- a realm in between life and death, where Angie and Yuri got to reunite, and where they would've swapped places for the Caged Child Seance to be completed. Time is slowed, and it is a seperate place where the mind goes.
Yuri was shocked seeing her best friend standing before her- in a flash, she jumped up, and hugged Angie, finally getting the chance to apologize for pushing her away, and Angie apologizing for having been so distant.
With this, Yuri conquered her fear of physical touch, taking the opportunity before it was too late.
While Yuri was entirely ready to finish the seance, Angie interrupted her best friend, instead saying that the seance was doomed to fail.
Before Yuri could ask why, Angie had to say that there was no time to explain. The seance's host wouldn't allow it to succeed, she said.
"Whatever you do, Blessed One, do not stay in the same spot as you are now. Atua heeds you to move as fast as you can to the side." -Angie
Yuri, still confused, began to question Angie, but Angie said that there wasn't any time left. Realizing that this was the last time Yuri would see Angie, Yuri hugged her again, afraid to let go- but Angie pushed her away, despite Yuri's pleas, and bid her friend goodbye.
Once Yuri was shoved back into the real world, with a gasp, she quickly obeyed Angie's orders, moving to the side just as Korekiyo jumped on the wooden plank she was on.
Yuri was stabbed in the shoulder with the sickle, but the wound wasn't fatal- though she was in a great amount of pain, she grit her teeth, and prayed that the seance would end quickly.
When the song was finished, and Korekiyo called out Angie's name, instead of Angie's voice, as originally anticipated, Shuichi, Korekiyo, Himiko, and Kokichi all heard Yuri's soft groans of pain as she cried out for help.
Himiko immediately yelled, Shuichi and Kokichi lighting the candles, and Himiko dashed to the center of the circle, crying for Yuri as she lifted up the curtain, peering under.
Tenko from outside heard the commotion, and she too ran in, helping Himiko shove off the dog statue, much to Korekiyo's distress.
Himiko ripped off the blanket over the cage and with Shuichi and Kokichi hurrying over as well, they all threw the cage off of Yuri, finding her wounded on the ground, in tears and in pain, blood drenching her outfit, with a deep wound in her shoulder.
With that, Yuri lost all consciousness.
In a frenzy, Kokichi grabbed Yuri and handed her to Shuichi, who quickly put the girl on his back, and the whole group ran to get assistance as soon as they could.
Maki was able to tend to Yuri's wound with Shuichi, Himiko, and Tenko's assistance, Himiko determined not to lose Yuri after losing Angie, and Tenko right by her side.
The Monokubs deemed it fair that Yuri was out of the count for Trial Three, and with that, Yuri was put in Monophanie and Monodam's care, as well as Doctor Killgood (though most of the class didn't trust them).
While the original intent of the mastermind was to kill Yuri off with Angie during this chapter, because of her fame and past (see pre-game), the mastermind pretended to be Yuri for a small bit in order to see what the audience had to say about her fate- as such, the audience voted that she live, as she was an incredibly popular comfort character.
Yuri was then allowed to live on past Ch. 3.
When Yuri woke up at the start of Chapter Four, she found herself in what was essentially a makeshift hospital room. She was immediately greeted by a sobbing Himiko, with Tenko running in tears to grab everyone.
Yuri too began to cry, thankful that she hadn't yet died.
Yuri began to recover for the next few days in the hospital wing, unable to do anything except sit there in her own thoughts.
In the meantime, she became closer friends to Monophanie, whom she found to be quite a gentle soul alongside her.
Yuri wasn't able to do much during this time period, but she was able to do a ton of thinking about her plan.
It's at this point in time she begins to get suspicious of certain people as the mastermind, with Tsumugi being her number one suspect.
Yuri also wondered whether or not her motive video applied to them still at that point in time, and whether she still had the opportunity to save all of her friends.
She also began to formulate her own plans for suicide. The Middle Realm confirmed to her that certain rituals and seances would work, so she wondered if there was a way to bring back the dead if that was the case.
Once Yuri was freed she got the opportunity to talk to Miu about the massive computer that the Ultimate Inventor had been messing around with.
Yuri quickly noticed that Miu had alternative intentions, however, and grew wary almost immediately.
After Yuri's near-death experience with Korekiyo, she became a lot less naive and a lot more wary about the people around her. She still treated people with love and kindness, but deep down, she was analyzing far more often than she had been before, and was starting to accept that some people could still have ill intentions. She started putting her psychology to good use.
When Yuri entered the virtual world, she essentially stayed by Tenko and Himiko's side the whole time, occasionally speaking with Shuichi and admiring Miu's work.
When it was revealed that Miu had been killed, Yuri immediately noticed how Gonta seemed to be entirely clueless about the whole ordeal, leading her to question him a little further.
Yuri eventually concluded that he had lost all his memories of the Virtual World, and before the trial began, she connected Kokichi to it.
However, during the trial, something shocking occurred- Yuri and Kokichi, for the first time during a trial, seemed to agree on something.
"Wooooowww, the Princess actually agreed with me on something? Looks like I win, peasants!" -Kokichi
Yuri agreed with Kokichi that it was true Gonta could have killed Miu, and with that, Kokichi and Yuri absolutely shredded the trial. Evidence on top of evidence to back it up, and both of them easily able to knock down any points that may have been used against them.
The truth is, Kokichi and Yuri, though they fight a lot, were generally speaking, two of the smartest people out of the group. When the two of them, alongside Shuichi and Keebo, teamed up, there was little to no hope remaining for the otherside.
As much as it pained Yuri to blame Gonta, it all eventually made sense as the trial concluded. She felt awful for Gonta's execution, and felt all her anger bubbling up when Kokichi began to amplify his villainous persona.
With that, Yuri slapped Kokichi.
She began to yell at him for his acts, saying that it never helped the group, and that it was incredibly selfish of him for it.
Her patience and empathy had finally run low.
Kokichi began to fight back against Yuri immediately, calling her out for always smiling and being 'happy' and lying about how she really felt.
The two of them just kept attacking and arguing, bickering and fighting. The fighting eventually became physical, with Kokichi pulling Yuri's hair, and her pulling his scarf. Shuichi, Tenko, and Maki had to pull apart the two of them, with Yuri slowly calming down after Kokichi left.
Yuri stood no chance against Kokichi, as she is still very physically incapable.
During Chapter Five, Yuri seemed to become less and less available, and more and more tired as time went on. Yuri had begun to stay up really late into the night, doing research and trying to figure out how she could make her plan succeed.
Yuri's anger eventually died down towards Kokichi, and she instead began to feel more regret. She tried to apologize to him in the following days, but things just appeared to get worse, especially with him claiming to be the mastermind.
Yuri began to spend most of the day in the library or in Korekiyo's lab, looking up information on how to revive the dead and gathering materials that she had been saving up and storing them in her lab.
She also grew less suspicious of Kokichi being the true mastermind, and more of Tsumugi, if anything. However, Yuri still doubted her suspicious, and chose to wait it out in order to try confirming it.
Yuri still kept her bright smile, and never spoke a word about the fight she and Kokichi had during the following days as well, and anytime someone would bring up what Kokichi said, she would quickly brush it off.
Yuri also got confronted by Tenko and Himiko for her behavior- she apologized to them, ensuring them that everything was fine, and that she had been getting perfect amounts of sleep.
Yuri was also incredibly proud of how far Himiko had come since the beginning. Himiko was now more outgoing and more bright, trying harder more often and being incredibly kind all at once. The little mage still struggled from time to time, but still had her bright imagination and used her magic for the sake of cheering up her friends more often.
When the aspects of violence were brought up, Yuri always seemed to back away, reluctant about using any proper fighting against Monokuma.
When the next body was discovered, Yuri was obviously very distressed, upset that she couldn't finish her plan by the time the next death occurred. However, she didn't let any of her distress show, and instead went on with the trial as though nothing were wrong.
Once again, Yuri picked up on hints incredibly fast. She figured out that Maki clearly had a part in what had occurred, and she also figured out during the trial that it was likely Kaito who was in the exisal. She determined that some parts just sounded more natural, and 'Kokichi's' talking and bickering to her just didn't seem accurate at some points, an example being how she was referred to as 'Riri' instead of 'Princess.'
It is during Trial Five when Yuri has her own Rebuttle Showdown against Shuichi, disagreeing in the fact that Kokichi actually died instead of Kaito.
"Please forgive me, Shuichi!" -Yuri's Interruption Line
"Please forgive me, Saihara-Kun!" -Yuri's Interruption Line, version 2
Yuri also figured out that Tsumugi was the mastermind for sure during this trial.
At Kaito's death, Yuri found herself shocked and almost satisfied at how he succumbed to his disease instead of the miserable killing game that they were in. She knew that he was satisfied- and if one of her friends was happy, then she was far more likely to be happy for them.
Yuri, however, never got the opportunity to apologize to Kokichi, just as she did to Angie before Angie's death- except this time, there would be no miracles, and no second chances for her. Yuri couldn't help but feel remorse about the whole situation, and promised herself that she would bring everyone back to life.
As Chapter Six comes up, Yuri began to set her plan into motion.
Yuri confronted Tsumugy about being the mastermind, then asked whether or not her motive video still applied to her- if she could still save all of her friends by getting away with a murder.
Tsumugi confirmed that yes, the motive video still applied to her. Yuri then made a deal with Tsumugi- she promised to come up with one of the greatest, most complex murders that had ever been seen, so long as Tsumugi promised to guarantee her plan's success if the class voted incorrectly.
Yuri bribed Tsumugi with the idea of entertainment, using psychology to her advantage- Tsumugi agreed.
She began by announcing to the entire class that she had been preparing a party for them in order to try lifting their mood.
In reality, this party was actually a distraction for Yuri's own suicide.
A few days went by, and Yuri was more focused on her plan than ever. It needed to be perfect, and she was praying that it would succeed.
Yuri became less and less available during this time period, and though she was still hanging out with her friends, she was very clearly still preoccupied with the 'party'.
Yuri had been sneaking and gathering materials from places like The Ultimate Anthropologist's Lab and The Ultimate Artist's Lab in order to get everything that she needed for her plan to be completed.
The night before the party, Yuri had already prepared the entire party room, placing ribbons and streamers all around the room, as well as a present that she had put on the table, labled 'To Himiko Yumeno'.
Yuri had also placed a variety of party stations outside of the school, each of them with their own unique games. Only two of these stations really mattered- a crystal throwing game, and a streamer pulling game. The streamers from the outside of the school lead to the inside of one of the rooms on a higher floor via the window.
Inside of the party room, Yuri began to prepare multiple summoning circles- a total of 10 small circles, where the dead would awaken upon being revived. Yuri was following the instructions of a ritual book that she had found in Korekiyo's lab, and she made sure to use salt, remembering his words from earlier.
In another room, Yuri prepared a grander summoning circle, where she stood in the middle. She lit multiple candles up around the room and placed a variety of different flowers around as well. The party streamers that Yuri had placed outside lead to the window in which Yuri would perform the ritual.
Using a sharp glass shard, Yuri cut herself in order to pour blood into the proper places inside of the summoning circle.
Yuri's entire body eventually became scraped up and cut due to the amount of blood needed, as she would be attempting to bring back a total of 10 dead.
After she had hung the streamers on a hook in the center of the ceiling, Yuri then sat in the center of the circle and tied the ribbons/streamers to her waist, ankles, wrists, and arms. Yuri then took a rose with a sharpened stem, and stabbed herself in the neck, taking her own life.
However, there were some parts of the ritual that needed to be completed after Yuri died.
The next morning, the remaining students all participated in the outdoor party stations Yuri had set up, presuming Yuri was waiting for them in the party room, where she said she would be.
Tenko, Keebo, Shuichi, and Maki at the crystal station threw the crystals through the open window where the streamers were leading out of, as the instructions on the game said.
These crystals shattered inside of the room Yuri had died and fulfilled one of the remaining steps to the ritual, providing the room with more energy.
Finally, the whole group followed the instructions of the next station, pulling on the streamers until they saw a little red bow appear through the window.
Unbeknownst to them, they were actually all hoisting up Yuri's body so that she was hanging in midair. With that, the ritual was completed- and the dead were revived.
To indicate the success of the ritual, the candles fell over and lit some of the nearby flowers, slowly beginning a fire inside of the room.
Shuichi and the survivors all entered the party room Yuri had decorated, only to find a room filled with all their friends who had passed away, as well as a floor covered in salt.
After a few minutes of tearful reunions, Angie and Himiko asked where Yuri was. At that moment, Rantaro smelled the scent of something burning, and the group ran to the nearest room, where they found the room going up in flames.
In a panic, they grabbed the fire extinguishers Yuri had placed in advance, and quickly put out the fire, only to find Yuri's dead body hanging above the burnt cinders.
Yuri's dress was partially burnt, the candles being gone, as well as the book that Yuri had brought with her. Most of the salt had been messed up in the frenzy of using fire extinguishers, and the glass and crystals were melted, including majority of the streamers. Yuri's body was barely hanging at that point.
At this point, Angie and Tenko both reached near breaking point, Himiko running off to the other room to take a moment to breathe.
However, Himiko found the present that had been labeled for her, and she opened it, finding Yuri's journal inside.
Instead of helping with the investigation, Himiko ran out of the school to Yuri's Ultimate Lab, hiding inside and reading Yuri's journal. It was there that Himiko discovered Yuri's true plan, the letters Yuri had left behind for the group, and Tsumugi being the mastermind.
In one of the last journal entries, Yuri had written specifically to Himiko, requesting that she help finish off the plan by ensuring that Yuri was not voted the killer.
Yuri had written pages of notes for Himiko to read off- because Himiko was not the best liar, she also told Himiko her lying habits and what to do to avoid them, asking that Himiko read things off of the fake pages Yuri had written in, that way Himiko was still telling at least 'half-truths.'
During the trial, Himiko took over Yuri's role as a supporting character to Shuichi, and with the help of Yuri's journal, managed to convince the group to vote Tsumugi, the mastermind, off as the killer.
Angie had her first break-down point here, finally letting her tears fall over the death of her best friend during the trial.
In the moments in which the group began to fall into despair upon discovering the truth about their world, Himiko handed out the letters that Yuri had left behind, sparking hope within the group to continue pushing forward and living.
When voting was completed, Himiko read out the truth about the plan to the group, leaving the group in shock and dismay.
Most of the revived were in shock, many wondering why Yuri would go through such lengths to keep them all safe, happy, and alive, especially Kokichi.
With that, the school was destroyed- Keebo and Tsumugi both died in the destruction of the academy.
The only people who died at the end of V3 ended up being Tsumugi, Keebo, and Yuri, leaving a grand total of 14 survivors walking free together.
